Canton Yongqingfang Jinsheng Cinema
Originally named the Grand Theatre, the Jinsheng Cinema in Guangzhou’s Yongqingfang was built in 1932. After closing in 2007, it gradually became a dilapidated structure. In 2019, the second phase of Yongqingfang’s renovation began, with the restoration of the Jinsheng Cinema, focusing on commerce, entertainment, and culture. It serves as a key hub within Guangzhou’s major tourist resort area.

Curved Metal Panels: The curved “curtain” is the most important design element of the facade, and ensuring its perfection is paramount. Perforated curved aluminum panels are used as the primary material for this “curtain,” a proven system with manageable costs. Profile frames are placed around the curved aluminum panels. The reinforced frames limit springback deformation and maximize overall flatness. The 12.5mm-wide profile edges blend seamlessly with the aluminum panels after spraying, ensuring a firm corner without creating a heavy “frame” effect, creating a refined and detailed design.
